Policies
Philosophy
The goal of instrumental instruction
is to provide a solid foundation in the fundamentals of
the instrument; at the same time, each teacher strives to
provide a focus for the student that enhances his/her joy
of music. Our teaching programs are comprised of
specially developed materials prepared for the individual
student's abilities and preferences. Emphasis is
placed on originality, self-expression, and the maintenance
of both a positive attitude and long-term involvement in the
musical arts. |
- The tuition for each half hour lesson given once a week, same
day and time is $408.00 per trimester paid in advance.
There are 3 trimesters in each school year. The tuition
is paid for on a 12-week basis (1st trimester is13 weeks at $442.00)
by the first lesson of each trimester to:

- Two or more members in the same family receiving lessons on
the same day receive a $15.00 discount per student per trimester.
The fee is reduced to $393.00 per trimester (1st
trimester is $425.75) for each student.
The 2007-2008 trimester schedule is as follows:
- First Trimester is September 10, 2007 thru December
7, 2007
- Second Trimester is December 10, 2007 thru March 14,
2008
- Third Trimester is March 17, 2008 thru June 13, 2008

- There are NO scheduled lessons during Thanksgiving
break (Nov. 22-23), Christmas vacation (Dec.24-Jan.31), February vacation
(Feb. 18-22), or Spring vacation (April 21-25).
- Other holidays such as Columbus Day, Veteran's Day, Memorial Day
and Martin Luther King Day DO NOT affect the teaching schedule.
Lessons are expected to be taken on those days.
Cancellation Policy
- Each student is expected to keep his/her scheduled lesson each
week, same day and time.
- Only ONE unavoidable missed lesson will be
allowed per trimester and a MAKE-UP will be re-scheduled for
that lesson. If the make-up is canceled by the student, that lesson
is forfeited. If a teacher cancels a lesson(s), a make-up will be
scheduled. This may be taken anytime during the school year. If a
lesson cannot be taken on Memorial Day or Good Friday, it will be
rescheduled.
- NO CREDIT for time or money is issued anytime during
the school year.
- TO CANCEL A LESSON, call 508-479-4256 and leave your child's name
and the name of the teacher.
The Summer Music Sessions will run for 10 weeks, beginning June
16 through August 22,2007 and offered in two 5 week semesters.
